Stretch big man Spencer Hawes drawing interest from clutch of contenders already (Blazers, Clips, Rockets, Mavs) on top of incumbent Cavs

Sounds like we have our fingers in a lot of cookie jars.

    Monroe.

    Hawes.

    Frye?

I assume we are offering him a max MLE deal? 4 years just about $21 million total? That would be a lot less than a Monroe sign and trade while letting us keep all our current assets. Not as interesting of a player but might be more beneficial to the team in the long run.

So much for Olshey keeping his hand close to his chest . . . and I love it. :)

Could be another sign-and-trade scenario as well.

I'm glad they are targeting a big man.

There are tons of good backup PG's available but almost no bigs.

Yeah, we need a backup big in the worst way. I'm fine with Hawes or Frye as a backup. They fit Stotts system very well, and I think they would compliment Robinson in the second unit.

Could be... but he is an unrestricted free agent so if we can convince him of taking an MLE deal the Cavs get jack shit!

MLE would be perfect, but that would leave us with limited options to sign a PG or wing.

Given the sellers market and the year he had I have to believe Hawes will make more than the MLE, which means sign and trade, unless he'd just really like to come back to the Northwest and play for the best team in the NBA.

Yep. Sign and trade is best here.

    I like this target.

How about Earl Watson sign and trade then cut to match salary along with Meyers Leonard for Thaddeus Young? Philly is holding out for that first round pick so if we give them that they'll definitely take the deal.

Resign Mo as a non Bird free agent or use the BAE on a Luke Ridnour.

Ok lets say we give Cleveland Meyers, Wright, Crabbe and a first round pick. I wonder what wing we'd target with the MLE? Marvin Williams?

The west is basically the NFL of pro basketball. A ton of parity and over half the teams have some sort of a chance of winning it.
