1.) Set up a "sign and trade" with Cleveland, sending Freeland, Leonard and Claver for Hawes (7 mil).

2.) Use the MLE to sign Chalmers

3.) Use the 2.8 mil to sign Ryan Hollins (wait probably not even that much)

    Line-up includes:

    PG: Lillard, Chalmers, CJ
    SG: Matthews, CJ
    SF: Batum, Wright
    PF: Aldridge, The Beastman, Hawes
    Center: Lopez, Hawes, Ryan Hollins

Not a homerun. Hollins sucks and Chalmers is overrated.

I think convincing hawes to sign for mle (sounds like Cleveland prefers cap instead of our poo poo platter.... Leonard, McCollum and wright might get it done).

    Buying out claver.

    Resigning Mo to 3/9

And convincing a swing (carter, thabo, someone) to sign for the bae would be a home run

From what others have posted, Chalmers is worth more than Hawes, and thus won't be with us.

I personally think Chalmers is more valuable than Hawes, but I doubt the rest of the league does. Centers are still the highest priced players. Unless you are a star wing.

I think Hawes, Pierce and Livingston would be a home run.

Even Pierce and Hawes would be home runs

Honestly, if you could land Hawes and Pierce; adding Mo wouldn't be as much of a problem. In fact, I think he could actually shine. Personally, I think a lot of Mo's out of control playing had more to do with having a seriously flawed offensive bench. Adding two key offensive players would open things up more.

If we have to use all our money to get Pierce and Hawes, I would be fine with Mo coming back.

I don't see how we could get both Pierce and Hawes--unless you are planning on a S&T for one of them. In that case, who are we losing, and what new hole do we need to fill?

I think Hawes will be acquired through trade. Pierce would be MLE money.

Mine too! Would love to cast those guys away - as long as we get some value in return for CJ, who I think has value/skill but doesn't fit our team.

Exactly. I think Leonard and CJ both have promise, but we have other guys with proven talent right now. And Wright has a good history, but not with us.

I think we're setting ourselves up for another Jermaine O'Neal situation. I'm not sure Leonard will ever be as good as Jermaine, but he has tons of talent and we're fixing to put ourselves in a situation where we can't afford to play him because of how raw he is. I'm definitely concerned he'll go to some shitty team that can afford to play him big minutes and he'll become a good if not really good center.

Would that make Monroe our new Dale Davis?

Nah, Hawes would be Dale Davis, albeit much younger and specialized in a completely different area of the game.
