People who like posting with PapaG should go start their own board, find volunteer mods, pay for hosting and maintenance of the site, keep user data secure and then have fun chatting with him there. That's an easy solution. I have every confidence in Nate and SPD as mods, with Denny as the owner of this site, and with the people who would be willing to stay here and talk basketball, rather than insult people (mods or not) repeatedly in spite of knowing that the action is not welcome here. Re: Why was the "Why was PapaG Banned?" thread closed? Yah a reaction from people like Papag and blazer fanatic because buried with in the barbs and insults lies an argument usually a good one. That is what made things fun. Too many people just like to call an idea stupid without the debate.
I mean what does Natebishop3 really do? Bait posters, then ban them when he gets the reaction he wanted? Part of a ploy. In the infamous words of Bill Parcells, "you've been sucked." This is tyranny. This is an outrage. Grab your pitchforks. Burn your bras. Revolt!
I never said I don't like you man! I think you and I see eye to eye on a lot of things, just not on how to handle PapaG.
Just want to point out that in the past, at least the last time, papag was not suspended as has been said several times, he was banned, but then there was begging by him, acceptance of another shot by myself (who was attacked by papag) and the mods who were involved in the banning process. His ban was forgiven as long as he stopped attacking people. He did not stop, hence he was banned again. This time, I hope it's permanent. I'm sure he will come on as some other poster anyway, just a new name noob, but hopefully when he does he participates with his opinions and not his incessant attacks. His opinions, especially his bball ones were interesting and added a different perspective. But papag by name should remain banned.

Not in the least. I feel less annoyed with this place, that's about it. I had zero input so no reason for me to feel successful or powerful. In fact, as I stated above, the last time I petitioned on behalf of papag to have him reinstated. But enough is enough. One time too many. And that's just the way it is. Even after papag returned and made snide comments and minor attacks towards me, I never responded nor contacted any mod. I was not out to get him, but that doesn't mean that he most certainly deserved to be banned.
And he's gotten into some pretty big feuds since he was allowed to come back. He was in a big flame war with Mediocre Man not more than three days before I banned him.
And did you read the second part? I said he would come back by another name anyway, and that would be fine so long as he expressed his opinions and not attack people. That's all I want, that's all any of the mods want. A poster to share opinions and not attack others. It's a simple concept and I hope if he comes back under another name he adheres to that concept.
I don't. What's the point of banning someone if they just come back? He has proven that he won't change.
