I can't think of Shaun without images of his knee crumbling turning my stomach.

For what Shumpert does at the salary he earns... I'd take it. Just the same for Barton.

If we got McBob or Hawes I suppose we could run part of our offense through them in the high post.

In our back-up unit Will/CJ could get the ball up the court, it'd be helpful if we had a three with handles, and Robinson down low?

Of course, I'd rather not have 5 b/u's out there ever, and I don't think the platoon system is ideal, but it would give us an option to take advantage of those guys' passing. Even Monroe has a lot of passing potential. I wonder if that's something we're after specifically.

Will is the only other guy on the team, besides Lillard, who just does not give a fuck about who the opponent is, what the odds are, or if his underwear are on inside-out - he's gonna play some motherfucking basketball! And he's probably the most eloquent player on the team!
Last season Will changed my opinion of him. I hope this season he makes me believe in his PG skills.

    Next summer...

"Well the whole point guard thing didn't really go as planned. Instead I've been watching what LaMarcus does. I think I can do that. You know, play power forward. That's my whole thing, I really never worry about what's going on around me because I can't control that. I can't control if Coach chooses to play me or if he doesn't. My thing is: What can I do? So I wanted to sharpen my skills at power forward. I feel like I have a mindset for it and a skill set for it, so now it's just like, let's put it into action and see how he look doing it. I feel like, so far, I've been looking real good doing it."

We saw this last Summer too - he was playing PG next to CJ (which rather depressed me at the time, as we were supposed to believe that CJ could play PG).

He's not totally untalented as a distributor. And oddly, being told to be a PG actually seems to make him less of a chucker, even though he has the ball more. It's like he knows he's going to have the ball again soon, so he doesn't HAVE to shoot it RIGHT NOW.

You mean those games we gotten blown out by the 2nd quarter and it meant nothing by haftime? I have a tough time gauging talent in blowouts either way.

I like the idea of Will being able to run an offense at times. Nico's been doing that for a couple of seasons. At 6'6 he can really create some mismatches on defense. Will cut his vacation short to work on it so he's got my respect. He can slash and he's working on his shot. There's absolutely no downside to Will learning multiple positions

CJ reminds me more of Roy, he can create his own shot, but you don't want him running the point.

And Will does have some pretty good handles, when he's under control.

I agree with the first sentence; I did a turnaround too on his surviving at SG. But as for PG, I see one lonely awkward assist in this video, plus much end-to-end ball hogging.

7-13 for 17 point, 6 rebounds and 2 assists with just 1 TO. He was a huge difference in the one win the Blazers got in that series. What else would you like him to do?

Get more than 2 assists per 13 FGA. We're talking about him being our main backup PG.
