Adrian Wojnarowski @WojYahooNBA Free agent CJ Miles has agreed to 4-year, $18M deal with Pacers, league source tells Yahoo. @CandaceDBuckner 1st reported an agreement.
Every damn time we have a lockout the owners say it's because the contracts are out of control and that they need to do something to stem the tide. Does it ever stop the crazy contracts? Nope. The owners can say whatever they want, but they always overspend.
At least we'll get some cheap deals after the flurry of high contracts is over like Maxie was talking about earlier.
Yeah then they look to put in rules to protect themselves from themselves. And strangely, it always seems like people side worth the owners because "these players make too much money"
I think they misspelled and mispunctuated that. They meant to say, "Cavaliers set to offer Gordon Hayward $63m max offer?! Sheeeeeit..."
Good move. Kyrie/Wiggins/Hayward/Thompson/Varejao with Waiters, Jack, and Bennet should be playoff team in the east
I guess Cavs are conceding they aren't getting Lebron. Still think Utah matches, but damn, didn't think he was going to get a max offer. Is there a contract the Blazers have that one can complain about at this stage?
Yup, what it boils down to is that the NBA is watered down, there isn't enough overall talent, and the owners will drastically overpay to get what they want. if the league contracted and re-dispersed the talent, I think the overall play would improve, I think contracts would go down because there wouldn't be as much of a sellers market, and I think we might actually see some parity in the NBA.
Yeah, so was Teague/Korver/Carroll/Brand/Antic. "Playoff team in the east" is not much of an accomplishment
This is a good value pickup and a hedge in case Lance bolts. While the Magic, Pistons and Wizards throw crazy contracts around, the Pacers look like they are well positioned in the East.
Paul Coro @paulcoro Just in case it was not clear that #Suns guard Goran Dragic is underpaid ($7.5M/year), Avery Bradley just got $8M/year to stay with Boston.
eh? Cavs have staying power. And ATL could have easily gotten to the ECFs if they had Horford and Millsap healthy
If we are using the lunacy of the Cavs' management as a yardstick, Joe Johnson looks like a good value. The Cavs want to max out a player with 16.22 PER? I guess they are looking forward to winning the lottery again next season.
Sam Amico @SamAmicoFSO Talk around NBA is Heat plan on luring free agents other than own not coming together. Also told reported $$ on Bosh and Wade is incorrect.
Zach Lowe @ZachLowe_NBA Multiple sources say Rudez is getting $1.1M next year from Pacers. Puts total salary for now at ~ $69.3M, less than $8M below tax. Zach Lowe @ZachLowe_NBA Pacers can shave about $2.9M off that figure by buying out Scola, getting it to about $66.4M. That may leave enough for Lance.
Russ Bengtson @russbengtson He's only 32! RT @Lister_Blister: @russbengtson Darius Miles has got to be the next guy to get a deal right?
