Sac fly by Ryan & Cervelli scores after doubling to lead off the inning. 4-1 Yankees.

 

I must be the only one watching this game.

A walk to Gardner, another double by Roberts (Ground rule) followed by a two run single from Ellsbury. Yankees lead now 6-1 heading to the bottom of the 2nd.

 

Still in the bottom of the 3rd & here it goes, its now 6-4 with the Twins still batting.

Roberts is on fire today, 4-4 with 3 doubles & a triple.

 

Adding on is just an impossible task once the starter exited.

 

I notice that since some of us have mentioned being unhappy with Roberts he has stepped up his game. Good show Brian, been reading the board have you? Keep up the recent good work.

 

Now 6-5 we need some insurance runs in the 9th. Lets see if Roberts has another hit in him.

 

Holy shit, that half inning took about 3 minutes. 3 outs on 5 pitches. Now Robertson needs to hold them.

I know its only the Twins but I'm hoping this is a start of a nice little winning streak before the all star break.

 

You have to win against all but I'm still pi@@ed about those 9 of 11 series loses. Noting the last results against the Bostons the Cubs went into Fenway and kicked their asses. Tampa Bay sweeps the Yankees then gets mauled by the Tigers last night and I hope to see a repeat performance. One thing about the Twins though, they are a class organization, Gardenhire is a good baseball man and Target Field is a nice Ball Park. Game done, taking the squeeze out for a nice July 4th Steak Dinner.

 

Not a bad game, got it out here on the West Coast.....

now if B. Roberts can continue his torrid pace in months to come, as well as the rest of the Team, we stand a chance.....

A bit to close tho' for comfort, a 6-5 game. Thought the Yanx could hold the Twinkies @ 3 runs. Good enough, I'll take a W any way we can get it...!!!
