Next summer this fanbase will go through what the Knicks/Heat fans are going through. LMA is by far and away the #1 FA in 2015.

We can offer him the most money but for the first time LA is going to have the freedom to stay or go.

Last summer, where he had the Chicago Bulls #1 on his list, he wanted out but no offer came close. He revealed that the team tried to trade him "for an older guy" in 2007. How much of this will come into play?

Do you take the risk of losing him and getting nothing but cap and a TPE or do you look at trading him before the All-Star break? I think the risk is huge regardless if they're winning.

We don't know because we have not been included in the private conversations with Neil and LA.
But certainly things can change by the All Star Break. So at that time you have to ask the question again. I mean if we are 10 games under 500, what is the reason? If we are 10 games over 500 then I would assume we gamble and try to resign him.

I think the summer after, when Damian and Nicolas and Robin are all up for contracts, that will be the worst.

Damian is guaranteed to stay with us. Even if he would want to bolt.

That's a bold statement. It's one I tend to agree with, given what he has said... but still a bold statement.

It's not bold bro. If Portland wants him, we can keep him. He will be a restricted free agent. We can match anything offered.

I think that greatly depends on who we retain next year.(desire to be here long term)

Wesley, Lopez, and LA are all free agents next summer.

No, Portland won't let him walk. Simple as that. He is a restricted free agent, meaning we can match any offer and he must stay with us.

I don't think he will bolt, but I do keep an eye on what Dallas does. They always make me a little nervous.

One thing, we don't know if LA will be the biggest FA until LeBron signs his new contract. What if he does a one year contract?

As an NBA Champion with The Blazers next summer, Aldridge will be looking forward to repeat, not to start over.

That would be awesome if LBJ signs a one year deal with Pdx!

I was thinking more on the lines of a 1 year deal with Miami to see what Riley can do. (and maybe to see how Cleveland performs this year)
