...meh, wait and see, I suppose. ...he didn't feel any discomfort, his velocity was still there, and like he pointed to, location was the problem.
Jon Heyman is reporting that Tanaka did in fact report discomfort in his arm following his rough outing against the Indians. Hopefully the MRI doesn't show anything because this would be a complete disaster.
...hadn't seen the update, but Tanaka initially said he “didn’t feel that bad” ...hopefully the MRI will come back negative. ...now they're saying "Officially, Tanaka was placed on the 15-day disabled list with elbow inflammation."
I'm telling you........I saw something negative in his last 3 starts. Originally, I thought he just hit the wall....a tired arm. IT MAY BE WORSE. OMG. Yankees just cannot get a break...I mean........ oh shit. They will fold real quick.
as mentioned, I hope its a ploy to have to not waste Tanaka in the A.S. game. IF IT WAS His rotator cuff WAS or IS torn, He would NOT be able to lift his arm to his shoulder, or above the shoulder....a torn cuff will NOT enable one to lift their arm beyond their shoulder, if one can raise it that high... I'm not an expert, tho' I've had 3 cuff repair surgeries on the RH shoulder, and 1 on the LH, and awaiting a 2nd surgery on the LH....(tho' I'm putting it off as long as possible, sick of the scalpels)...!
Me 3....BTW- Had Tanaka torn a cuff, or any other thing less than a strain, we would of seen him not wince, but damn near cry in pain...! A ploy no doubt, and I like it...!
He's a graduate of the Bruce Lee school of pain tolerance, hooks up himself to 110 volts every week....his PT, was a Imperial Army finger nail remover the Sun God descendant-Hirohito, and subjected Masahiro to intolerable Kamakazi Therapeutics.....! Without the end result of Kamakazi-death...!
