O's lose it with a man on 1st, caught stealing by Flop Headed, Crooked Cap, Rodney, stepped off the mound, and nailed the runner, game over.....

On another note, what I'd give to see Aroldis Chapman in Pinstripes, 102 mph fastball blown by Zimmerman, game ovah.....!

It's a pattern. Watch a perfect pitch and then foul one off.

...if you want a good laugh, or perhaps maybe even a good cry, check out Gardners splits once he's down 0-2 vs swinging at the 1st pitch...it will blow your mind.

God I miss the old days when you could come in & pitch 2/3rd of an inning without needing a damn day off.

...well, that's the nature of the beast these days...and it's been that way for quite some time now.

...but yeah, maybe we can go banging rocks together to start fires too.

Ron seriously this pedestal you've got Girardi on is all good but even if you don't bring in Betances you sure as hell don't bring in a pitcher with a 6 ERA in that situation. I mean you're trying to do everything you can in a 3-2 game in the 9th to keep the score where it is, & give your team a chance to tie or win in the bottom of the inning. And if you seriously can't agree on at least that much then your love for Girardi has gotten way out of hand. Francis is good to eat up innings doing mop up work only & should NEVER be used in clutch situations. But something tells me you don't agree.

    ...back up, rick.

...I get on you for incessantly bashing Girardi for the wrong reasons and referring to him as an "idiot"...so you somehow correlate that with me being in love with Joe?...that's total horse shit.

...don't presume to put words in my mouth that I never said...find ONE post where I have said I "love" Girardi and I'll never post again...find ONE post where I said he was a great manager and I'll never post again...I'll wait...and I'll be waiting awhile because it never fucking happened.

Considering what he has had to work with I don't see how you can be upset with a manager who has them in the race. He's not perfect or the greatest but he's a good manager.

And I'll wait while you find me a handful of posts where you disagree with one of his decisions. Hell I'll settle for two. I mean holy shit, its a lot easier for me to NOT blame him for something then it is for you to EVER blame him for something.

But just to show you that I'm not as set in stone as much as you are, you're right, he's not an idiot, I should have just referred to many of his decisions as idiotic. So I'll bend on that one. But at least answer this for me, do you agree with Girardi decision to bring in Francis or would you have gone with a more reliable pitcher. I'll wait.

I knew you couldn't do it. Okay Ron, apparently criticizing Girardi for ANYTHING is hitting to close to home. So to keep the peace, I'll try my very best to keep my minor negative opinions or your boy Joe to a minimum. I promise. I do enjoy our debates though. Have a good night pal.
