It took me some getting use to but I like it better than weed now. In fact smoking weed tastes like cigarettes to me now, the sweet oil taste is much more smooth. The high is also more predictable and less stony for me but it is much easier to over do it. The main reasons I like it is are that it doesnt stink like weed and its much better on your lungs than smoking herbs. I do lots of cardio and its noticeable. Ironically I find it easier to regulate my doses and predict my high with wax, its much stronger but its also more pure and more standard in terms of strength.... the trick is just not getting carried away unless you want to. For getting carried away I love my titanium dab nail, which hits like a truck and is the closest alternative to a bong that I have ever found, and Ive searched through many disappointing vaporizors over the years. Vap pens are great for small tokes. Also as far as processing weed into edibles, wax is the best start because it gets rid of most of the taste and its easier to measure exact doses for eating.
Precisely! The whole process of making BHO turns me off as well. I don't want to put something in my body that has been extracted using lighter fluid... I'm fine with bud, I'm not about seeing how high I can get. And eventually you can't take enough dabs to get the feeling you want. I consider a situation like that to be drug abuse. I'm not saying people who smoke dabs are drug a users, I'm just saying that it is the next step in not being able to get high of herb.
Besides the few idiots who blow themselves up making it, what is your concern with butane used to extract? It is at least 99.9% pure, better than average lighter fluid, and since the butane evaporates and the bho is vaporized then you are actually smoking less lighter fluid than when you light your bong hit. Next consider all the plant matter you are not smoking anymore with bho, an ounce condenses down to about 5 grams of oils, so simple math has you smoking 23 less grams of plant matter. My bong gets nasty resin clogs and build ups where as my dab rig just gets coated with condensed oil which is easily collected and redabbed. The goal isnt just "see how hi you can get" because you can do the Marijuana Olympics with bud or brownies also, its actually a healthier way to ingest marijuana. I run and work out a lot, smoking a lot of weed is noticeable during cardio but smoking a lot of dabs barely effects me, and I never have any of those "clean out" hacks after long periods of more smoking than running. Keep hating on wax if you want, your missing out imo.
sort of yes. Wax is made from butane, oil is made usually by heating that wax up to a point where it de carbs and losses its wax/soild features. Oil can also made by mixing wax with food grade glycerines which is good for vap pens, and it is also the product of ISO extraction which is popular because its more stable than butane but it smokes like poop because it pulls some of the undesirable parts of the plant that butane leaves behind. So its basically the same, depending.
