Barton's 3rd year wasn't guaranteed, so the Blazers picked up the option. I'd just like to see more details before it's assumed Moreland, who I like as a defensive big, is set on an NBA roster for 3 years. Sacto only has 13 players on their guaranteed roster right now, so I can definitely see at least this year being guaranteed. After that? It would be dumb of a GM to sign anything more than a 1-year guarantee contract to a player who rebounded a bit and blocked some shots in summer league without every playing an NBA game. It's almost like they're trying to be bad so they can move to Seattle.
