Speaking of all this growing, how does ones body handle that? Wasn't all the talk about Paul George all about how much he grew and so fast.....even since he was drafted. Wonder if all that finally took a toll on his bones?

Sent from my stolen iPad FAMS!

    Hello darkness, my old friend
Lots of people have grown fast. In addition to the Rodman example, Pippen also gained a bunch of height in college. In quite a few articles about NBA players I've read, it's been mentioned that they grew significantly during high school, which turned them into top prospects for college. They don't all end up with horrific bone breaks...George's was probably just bad luck.

    Like Raymond Felton, for instance.

Oh, you said fast. Never mind.

When I think about this subject, David Robinson always comes to mind, since he grew 7 inches in college. He never would have even been admitted to the Naval Academy had he been a 7 footer in high school.

He turns 16 on Thursday, but he's going into his junior year of HS. Kid has great athletic ability, but unless he grows 6-8" over the next two years, comparing him with LeBron James is a bit much. Steve Francis or Russell Westbrook?

According to what I can find, he was basically the same height in 8th grade as he is now, 3 years later. He's basically 6' tall, or 6'1" in shoes, best I can find.

I'm going back further and saying William Gates from Chicago is the comparison I see.
