These are the NBA futures for the odds to win the Eastern Conference at some betting website I won't bother linking to:

One of these numbers strikes me as decidedly incorrect.

I'm curious to see if any of you share my sentiments.

What is the proposition? Looks like all Eastern Conference teams in your list. So the odds are to win the East?

I see nothing strange about those odds.

Those are what you'd wage and what you'd be paid if whichever team won it.

The Pacers dropped because of the injury to George.

Yeah, sorry, Eastern Conference. I might be the only one who thinks they're off for one team.

Miami go hammered in the futures odds before signing Lu.

Spoelstra is no slouch of a coach, he has two more rings and 4 more finals appearances than Thibs. His teams have been great defensively, even if the stats say otherwise. They were able to turn it on when needed.

Wade, Bosh, Lu, Chalmers, and McRoberts could be quite strong if Wade can be alpha dog like he used to be. I think he has it in him. Lu is still a fine defender and will be fine as #3 option in their offense.

I don't see who else you might find is improperly ranked. You could always go place a bet if you think it's an easy win. I've seen a few single game lines that were so obviously out of whack that I considered making a good sized wager. And I'm not a gambling man.

I think that Washington line looks way off. It'd take, what, one injury on the Bulls and maybe an injury on the Cavs for them to be favorites. Beal and Wall are both really starting to come on and they have a solid tandem of vets on their front line. And for a player who is kind of terrible now now in Paul Pierce, he somehow is kind of actually not terrible.

Yeah, I like that team way better than 15/1 odds.

SST, did the raptors lose a key player? At 30-1, that's who I thought looked off.
