The tolerant one where atheists say they don't care about religion, yet seem to only talk about their own religion, or anti-religion, or however they justify SlyPokerDog's bigoted views?
Except for one small personal insult by someone who later apologized for it I thought it was a pretty respectful discussion.
It was a bully session. It is what it is. I'm literally agnostic. I find extremists on both sides to be out of the realm of reality. The difference is the religious guys don't offer proof, outside of their own faith. The atheists seem to try and disprove religion, and never take into account what true faith means for a belief. I find hardcore atheism to be the most simplistic of religions. Basically, it boils down to just saying no and the ridiculing the person with faith. This has happened many times before, with the most recent examples in the first world being religious groups persecuted in Germany, Russia, Israel, India, and Egypt, among others.
If you're talking about the God is Dead thread I didn't really provide enough information to disclose my side or my beliefs. I may not agree with some of the beliefs and opinions expressed in that thread but I am certainly not opposed to them or opposed to what people believe. Honestly, seem like you're trying to start an argument that doesn't exist. I'm not even sure why you started this thread but to argue. Careful my friend.
It's all good bro. It's actually nice to see both sides. Of course you have your extremists giving their takes.
I'd hope that this is the new agnostic site. Let's keep open minds and explore the nature of the universe together!
There are a gazillion atheist web sites. Some may be the official site of some organization but there is no official atheist web site. I have no idea what Papa G is OUTRAGED about this time but I'm sure it's nefarious.
meh.. this place is a reflection of today's society. Full on persecution has happened before and has been prophesied to occur again. This hateful attitude seen here is just the warm up act.
What the fuck are you talking about? None of those are examples of persecution in the name of atheism, and most of them are just religious groups persecuting each other.
oh woe is me. It's just bellyaching. Religious people want to be able to give their point of view and that's all fine and dandy. But if atheists give theirs it's bullying. Nope, this is an insignificant section of a small site on the Internet where many points of view are expressed, religious and atheist alike. Don't like it, don't read it.
