I respect their commitment to their beliefs, and wish to give them all the help I can to get to Paradise. In all seriousness, it will need to be a sustained bombing campaign. Targeted strikes won't work now. They're too diffused. However, we don't need to defeat them. We just need to degrade them and let the Kurds and the Iraqi military clean up the mess. It would be nice to do it from Turkey, but I doubt they'd let us.
And for those on this board--like me--who watch "Archer", is anyone else having trouble taking a group called "ISIS" seriously?
The bombing we've done seems to have a limited but positive effect. ISIS had taken a town in Northern Iraq and were moving on the Kurds' main city there. The Kurds since have retaken that one town. But the US generals I've seen say the bombing will have limited effect and are not the solution.

We aren't forcing them to convert to our religion or be brutally terrorized and tortured to death. Apples to oranges.
This is our annual military budget compared to the next 14 most powerful militaries in the world combined: So yeah it is our responsibility to take care of these sort of things if we are going to spend that much money to police the world.
Our religion? I'm dognostic and I don't need any followers. Well maybe a few. Rich ones. And a few sexy ones. Mainly rich ones.
I'm actually fed up with us being the police force for the world. Scale back to twice what China is spending and start bringing people home.
Not that I necessarily disagree, but this is the American mentality and it is what it is. We have our noses in everything and it's not gonna change anytime soon.
no, we arent even giving them that chance. just raining fire. its like comparing suicide vests to space lasers
hundreds of thousands have been slaughtered and more and more continue to die every day your high horse is misguided, WE are the masters of death, not them
