Actual I thought I just coined the "PC junkies" with this thread. I don't know where the line should be drawn, because it seems I do not know why the line was drawn. How did Oriental become a no no but the word White never has? Now it seems you can not even use the word "Orient" which I always thought was a kind of neat word, much more meaningful than say, the Far East.
I meant you used it a lot in that post. I'm just curious, in general, leaving aside this particular word, when do you feel that "offensive" crosses over into "PC?"
In this case I think it is done as a deflection to marginalize and individual. Perhaps I should be please in this case with the successful attack using the PC. But I am not, I find it ridiculous and a stretch.

I don't get why the orient would be politically incorrect. It makes the place sound exotic and fine. Biden might only be showing his age. But he is a buffoon, and he probably should know better given his position.
I will go with Mag's view. See the next post. However, I think more often than not, the people that drop the PC card are not so worried about the offended as they are egger to marginalize the offender. That was this case and a far stretch it is. Orient is a fine word even when an old fool Democrat uses it. People can find a plethora things to pick on him about, this was foolish.
