Reasons why the Yankees won't be in the playoffs for the 2nd straight year? Of course we all know the offense has been consistently putrid. Narrow it down to a particular portion of the season: From 8/26 - 9/17 the Yankees went 9-13. More specifically going 5-11 in 16 games during that stretch vs Detroit, Toronto, KC, Baltimore and Tampa Bay scoring 2 or less runs in 10 of those losses. There goes your Wild Card. Want to over simplify it? Okay. Yanks are currently 12-25 vs TB and Balt. Over and out...thats all folks! lol
