Remember that commercial where the guy goes " I can't believe I ate the whole thing"? I saw Reddick after that trade was done and all he could say is "I can't believe they traded Cespy" What I couldn't believe was that they reacquired that head case Gomes. If Lester and Shields are spot on that could be a baseball game equal to game 5 in Philly back in 11 with Carpenter and Halladay going after it.

My Giants seem to win it in even years lately (2010 & 2012) so even though I'd love to see Donnie win it I'm still pulling for my Giants in 2014.

I was wondering when you'd pop in. Giants still up 4-0 going to the 6th & Bumgarner is pitching his ass off. 7 Ks through 5 with only 1 hit.

The Giants win big as Bumgarner throws a complete 4 hit shutout with 10 Ks. Final 8-0. It's on to Washington.

Me as well.....Don has had to put up with some mega bullshit from some of his players, and certainly has a damn fine team this year, to do as much.....

I do hope for his own sake, Donnie BB earns his 1st Series Ring.....I can't think of another Manager who deserves as much, well.....maybe Showalter does as well, tho' I'd pull for Donnie's Bums over Buck's O's.....!

I'll tell you Rob, it would have aged me 5 years if it had been a game like the Oak/KC game the night before. The only bad thing now is that MB will only be available for one game against the Nats.

Bumgarner pitched a much better game for his team than did Lester or "Big Game" James beating a Pittsburgh team better than what Kansas City or Oakland was able to field. I've liked his abilities from day one, something in his style that reminds me of Andy Pettitte. I believe though that Washington as a better overall team and staff than the Giants but anything can happen. One thing I have learned over the post-season years is to factor intangibles and to expect the unexpected.
