Islanders had the extra high picks to acquire D Boychuk
30 yrs. from the Bruins ( 2 #2s[2015 & 2016] & #3) and
acquired D N Leddy 23 yrs. in 5 player trade with the Blackhawks.

You think they want some playoff action?

 

Solid late moves for them, that puts them close to the playoff cutline if Halak gives them decent goaltending.

 

I disagree. It puts them into the playoff picture, unless they are
overcome with injuries.

 

That's basically what i meant, into the playoff picture, and alot closer than they were last year.
