Rick, by the way- Yankees share the postseason win streak (12) twice - one of those being Torre's Yanks.
This may be a Series of the Birds....! Or a Series of Giants and Royalty....! Can a bird fly high enough to shit on a Giants Head????
The 1st WS I really can remember as a fan was 1962. And I waited over 40 years to see them (Giants) back in a WS only to lose it. In 2010 it FINALLY happened. Then it happened again 2 years later. Now I'm getting spoiled & I want to see them win it all again.
I won't hold it against ya' Rick B/T The Cards, and Giants, a Monopoly has been going in the NLCS, World Series too....incredible, I wonder if Congress would hear out a MLB Fan's anti-trust law suit?
Did you know that since 2000 the Giants (6) & Cardinals (11) have been in a combined 17 playoff series while the Orioles (2) & Royals (1) have been in 3?
_______________________ Yanks have been in 20 post season series since 2000.... ...and they haven't made the playoffs the past two seasons ! Just a little perspective. lol
Giants have been in more than 6 series I mean they were in 6 just in 2010 and 2012 when the won the WS
Mac retired after 2001 season, up to that point he hasn't violated any baseball rules, stuff he was using was OTC or unregulated. Barry was went far beyond that including the fraud of covering it up, etc. You can't put these 2 in the same category. Nice Giants-homer glasses you got there.
How quickly we forget, does this sound familiar, "I'm not here to talk about the past" And lets not forget McGwire's bullshit going into the stands to embrace the Maris family when he hit #62 knowing he cheated to accomplish it. Bonds was an ego maniac prick & McGwire was an embarrassing phony. IMO they belong in the same catagory. The only difference between the two was that McGwire smiled while he was cheating. And Bonds retired in 2006 & up to that point he also had not violated any baseball rules. But that was a good try. And I noticed you didn't mentioned Giambi & A-Rod. Oh wait I forgot, its only cheating when players from other teams do it. Nice Yankee homer glasses you got there.
By 2006 Bonds had broken numerous state and federal laws. And baseball ped testing started in 2003. Don't give me history lesson lecture...go read for yourself. http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/news/drug_policy.jsp?content=timeline
