61 hits away from 3000 & 6 HRs away from tying the great Willie Mays.

I can only hope that there's dead silence from the stands when he reaches both.

Don't forget the big one- career RBI record (Aaron).
He's within close reach of it...even *Baroid Bonds couldn't touch THAT ONE!

*The biggest skumbag who has benefited the most (stat-wise) from the Peds.

Really? I think that honor fits guys like Sosa & Palmeiro more. Both of who would have had just mediocre careers without the PEDs while Bonds was well on his way to a HOF career prior to becoming an asshole.

Nah, I disagree....both Sosa and Palmeiro have already been exposed.
Palmeiro - remember his finger pointing denial testimony at Congressional hearings, and he later got busted?

And Sosa -- same..when he used the usual--- *me no speakey english.

But the arrogant, America hating, white-American hating skumbag Bonds is the one with the astronomical career records......
    ...with NO asterisk in sight!

*may not be his exact words just in case '59 wants to chime in.

    * also- '59 actually had the balls (in another thread) to call me out when I referred to Leo Durocher and the old expression: NICE GUYS FINISH LAST ..
...it wasn't an exact quote attributed to him but anyone in their right minds without an ax to grind KNOWS it's strongly connected to him..as is his memoirs ...
    ...entitled--> "Nice guys finish last".

Yep, I feel comfortable in MY skin.

...lmao...just can't resist, can you? Again, it's nice to know I'm in your head.

...I did not call you out in the thread you're babbling about...you QUOTED Derocher as saying "nice guys finish last"...I didn't even mention you or quote. I merely pointed out that the press took something Leo said and twisted it into something else.

...and you got your feelings hurt over that?...grow a set.

My finest memories of "Junk" Bonds were his inability to throw out "Tug Boat" Bream in the '92 playoffs vs Atlanta and Jim Leyland jacking his a@@ and letting him (Bonds) know who the Pirates manager was. The man stained the Giants uniform in the same manner that A-hole has stained the Pinstripes. Funny to see him come to ATT and try to be one of the boys, yeah Barry share your playoff experiences with the members of the current unit and mention that the only ring you ever got was the one around the bath tub. One of Billy Martins early essentials taking over the Yankees in '76 was to get "Daddy" Bonds out of New York, Billy was not a favorite of "Clubhouse Lawyers." I heard Willie Mays state in an interview that he was most proud of his baseball accomplishments because he'd done them with his own body.

LET HIM DO IT FOR ANOTHER TEAM. He destroys anything
that is Yankee tradition. And yet, I can see Cashboy and the Steinboys
make him next year's golden boy. PURE TRASH.

...I remember watching that game...It was funny to see the "slow white boy" gene kick in as Bream rounded 3rd.

Yep, I can't argue with: "Do it for another Team"....! I'd rather see A-Roid dangling from the flag pole in NY, than watch him play an inning or at bat in Pinstripes, ever again.... Alex's big contract now looms, yet I'd not hesitate to off him for a "Prospect to be named later"....may be bad financial business advice, yet is the Honorable move for all....Yankee Fans; Baseball Fans, or Purists........

I'd damn near bet such a move, has NOT, will NOT, or - is NOT even discussed on high; let alone executed....!

Did I say executed, ? In the form of a firing squad on Opening Day in the Bronx.....where to tie him up, as not to bloody the field of his tainted blood, or remains.....?

Unfortunately (as I mentioned in an earlier thread) the 1st time he hits a game winning home run the fans will be asking for a curtain call. Sad but true.

Sad but true? I hope A-Roids return doesn't promp Homer Hankies. It would more than blow my mind, IF Yank Fans let applause overwhelm the BOO-Birds; ie, Ryan Braun Standing Ovation....at least we know the ball park in Milwaukee spikes their beer...!

Funny how we haven't heard much on the Brewers collapse this last season, eh?

A-hole at 3rd, Bleacher Creatures do pre-game roll call, omit his name, be a good display of what the fans think.
