    Funny as good of a game that he had, his only highlight on NBA TV was his TO at the end of the game...which was costly

    Josh Smith's shot selection has been a hot topic again, with him going 2-17 last night. I never wanted him here, but I did get a kick out of Stan Van Gundy's comments about the fans.

    "Here's the thing, I've heard all day now about obviously Josh went 2 for 17," Van Gundy said. "But nobody's talking about the fact that one of the top three scorers in the league (Anthony) went (5 of 21), only got to the free-throw line four times, and he (Smith) got 10 rebounds and he got five assists.
    "He had a lot to do with us winning the game. But I guess if you're not capable of analyzing the game beyond 2 for 17, then OK."

    I love that quote and may have to use it occasionally on this board

    I wanted either one of those guys instead of stotts as well, especially Stan. Unfortunately Stan was very adamant about wanting at least a year off and Jeff is comfortable with his announcing gig.
