I keep hearing this as a rumor and that would be SCARY. SAC has some really good talent. I'm guessing they have a new coach this year? Because they've had some talent for a while it seems, but it was wasted due to inept management and coaching.
It all comes down to Cousins. But to answer the question, yeah they might be for real. Boogie can play and I think Mike Malone was a pretty good hire. Tough to win in the West though.
If they can stay out of their own way they are solid. But that ability remains to be seen. They def have the talent with boogie to finish above .500 in the West. But will they keep playing together over the course of 82 games when adversity hits.
I was there around that timeline as well. Reggie Theus, LaSalle Thompson, Big Joe Kleine...it's amazing to me that Napier and Jerry are still calling games. Mrs. FromWA worked for the Kings for a while right before we got married. True story: Webber owes her $800.
It does appear the West has better balance this season. That means a tougher season for everybody. The jockeying for play-off position could get brutal.
5-1 NOW are they for real? Spurs and Thunder better not fuck around or Kings will take one of their playoff spots.
People didn't believe we were real at 25-7 and I doubt the kings will be 25-7. They are a good team but will be hard pressed to do more then make a few west teams sweet come end of the season.
the kings are taking teams by surprise, but i do doubt were going to see a phoenix like resurgence from the ashes for the sac town kings. nevertheless, its nice to see them not suck for once.
