I want to see LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant, DeMar DeRozan, Damian Lillard, Andre Iguodala do the dunk contest

Untrue, did Yao deserve to be voted in by Chinese fans in 2011 even though he played five games? I think not.

Lin received 883,809 All-Star votes this season. He received the third-highest votes of any guard in the Western Conference.
    (2013 season I believe)
Fans shouldn't be allowed to vote for the all-star game. Might mean something then.
The game isn't even for the fans like people always say. It's about making $. Pure and simple.

The vote will be less this year because it won't be limited to a set amount of players on the ballet.
But I won't be participating in voting because I don't like the all-star game.
It's a joke, I could go watch the same thing at a high school game.
At least there I wouldn't have to listen to the announcers slurp on Griffin/Love/Westbrook.

This whole idea is simply asinine. haha

I'm as big of a Blazers fan as they come, but I'm not going to go out of my way to make sure my team's players start in the All Star game. Wouldn't be fair to the fans of the NBA, and simply makes no sense in my mind.

What does that have to do with this? Can you stop trying to make this about me and focus on the topic at hand?

Easy... Since your argument about your vote meaning shit so why bother are the same philosophy for non-voters.

Did you really equate voting in elections to voting for all stars? Really?

    smh

Nah I'm showing the similarities of the guys that don't vote in elections used the same "my vote doesn't matter so why bother?"

B-Roy said that, so there you go...

I think what clearly needs to happen here is that Lillard needs to do a commercial in China. :)

I never said that. Stop putting words in my mouth.

Voting for who runs your country is not at all related to voting for what sports players get to play in a meaningless exhibition game. Get real.

You said "keep dreaming" about the possibility of them winning right? What you think that means?

Honestly, I have no idea what you're getting at. The fact that you're trying to spin this into me talking about politics makes no sense. You're the one that compared this to elections, not me.

Haha this has nothing to do with the similarity of a government election other than those that don't vote. I'm just asking if you don't vote because your comment is very similar to those that don't vote because they believe their vote doesn't mean shit.

It doesn't matter here. It's a meaningless game, that's why people don't vote. How many NBA fans are out there? How many of those fans actually vote?

It's not comparable to governmental elections because the results actually matter there.

So then why would my comment about questioning if you vote in government elections should have been easily answered no?

The fact that you blew it out of proportions speaks louder than words

I didn't blow it out of proportions. It's a strawman you're using that has nothing to do with the topic at hand.

Not really... The comment directly resemble those that don't vote for government elections. It's weird you keep saying its a strawman or not to the point.

You said "get real" they won't win right? Pretty much the same way people who don't vote and say "I'm not voting because my vote doesn't matter"

You keep "assuming" things I never say. It's hard to even have a conversation with you when you're just stuffing words in my mouth. It's like you're arguing with yourself?
