Yanks let a couple more get away

    Re: Yanks terrible record of drafting and producing good starting pitchers.

    Garrett Richards (Angels) 2014 - was 4th in the league in allowing the fewest baserunners 9.71 per 9 innings for SP, behind Felix, Sale and Iwakuma.

    Was drafted in the first round 2009 by Angels.

    James Paxton (Toronto) was also drafted in the first round 2009 by Toronto and is currently doing well.


    Yanks passed on both of them in favor of Slade Heathcott.

    Well its not like the Yanx were the only team to miss those guys.

    It's relevant because the Yanks haven't drafted and produced a pitcher who has been good enough to become a consistent mainstay near the top of their rotation since Andy Pettitte !

    Scandalous.

    Ha! That's pretty bad especially since he was a lefty and the pool is smaller so the odds are more favorable, lol!
