    Oh really

The Blazers were going to expose Davis last night and he would suffer the rest of the season because of it. I read that here on this intelligent Blazers forum.

Does he have a "back to the basket game?" What part of my statement isn't true? I never said he wasn't good. Aldridge was good when he didn't have a back to the basket game either

I think half the reason they lost that lead and didn't put the game away was BECAUSE of Davis. The guy is a beast. Beating us from all over the court, but he doesn't really have a "go to" move. He's great at a little bit of everything, but he doesn't have that dominate go to post move. Like with LA, you know when the offense isn't flowing, you can slow it down and get it to him in that left low block and NOBODY can stop that fadeaway. Once AD gets that one unstoppable move, it's over!

Apparently Davis can stop that fadeaway. He did it last night.

When Davis came into the league, I thought he would be a rich man's Marcus Camby. Now, I'm thinking Kevin Garnett's name should be subbed in. If the Pelicans make the playoffs this year, which is a very real possibility, I'm betting on Davis to win MVP.

That was the first time I saw someone do that! But it was only once. He had maybe 10 that game

Not really. Yeah, Davis had a big game in a loss, but Aldridge still had 22 and 9 on .500 shooting. It's not like Davis completely shut him down. And, in the 4th quarter, with the game on the line, it was Aldridge that outscored Davis 10 - 6 and lead his team to the win.

That wasa case of "lived experience plays dirty" - LA went crafty vet on his butt.

I still think we should have drafted Davis instead of Meyers.

Nah, we should have drafted Davis instead of Oden. Oh sure, he was only 14 at the time and hadn't had his growth spurt yet, but the potential was clearly there. Man, our scouting department back then sucked.

I bet Davis at 14 could have benched more than Durant.

Didn't LA do most of his damage with Davis out of the game in the 4th?

I'm talking about the 4th quarter when Stotts brought LA in while Davis was out of the game. I thought that was when LA started to find a groove.

Nope, absolutely not. Davis and Aldridge both re-entered the game at the 9:13 mark of the 4th quarter. At the time, NOP was up 83-73. Aldridge scored all 10 of his 4th quarter points while being guarded by Davis. Davis had a huge game, but in the 4th quarter, he was outplayed by Aldridge as the Blazers came back from double digits to win.
