CONGRATULATIONS to Don Mattingly on the arrival of his new son (his 4th). The 53 year old Mattingly already has 3 grown sons from his previous marriage & 2 step children from his current wife of 4 years. Also: who says you can't go home again? Torii Hunter has signed a 1 year $10.5M contract with the Minnesota Twins.
The Torii Hunter signing comes as a bit of a surprise. I always remember that one of Hunters goals was to play on a World Champion, MLB Network predicted that Baltimore and Texas were interested in his services. The man can still play, he'll be Club House and on field example of how to play the game.
