Just looking at the numbers and without seeing him play on a regular basis, he has not played well for the Clippers. I think a more half court oriented team like ours would be beneficial to him. We also have a player that could use his tools better in Thomas Robinson while getting the Clippers closer to avoiding the luxury tax. I have no doubts Ballmer has no problems paying but the repeat tax makes getting below smart.

Too expensive. Neil wouldn't waste our cap space on him.

I still think he's a good, young-ish, smart, skilled player. I think he could easily replicate what Kaman's doing. And he's MLE.

about as interestingly, is it the time to sell high on Chris Kaman? Have you looked at his numbers in the last 2 weeks?

It's happened before, but I would be shocked if our top 5 guys this season weren't our top 5 guys next season. Add in MLE, BAE? & first rounder, repeat. No cap space, no cap space issues. :)

I think Hawes would have fit in fine here, but I absolutely love Kaman. His ability to post and defend is more appreciated than a stretch 4

    Kaman > Hawes

Pass. I understand the desire to trade, but this is one of those years where it's probably better not to.

He will come back. At least he's still rebounding and defending

in his last 8 games, Kaman is 31-78 (39%), for 80 points (1.02 pps, 10.0ppg) and 54 rebounds (6.8/g). It's kept his season averages at 10.4ppg and 6.8rpg, but on more shots (at a lower, now 49% FG for the season) in fewer minutes (more "black-hol-ish", which might be the point).

And he has deep shooting range suited to Stotts' offense.

I wouldn't trade Kaman for Hawes if you actually want defense and a playoff savvy big guy. Come playoff time you'll regret having Hawes coming off the bench instead of Kaman. Kaman has played well. Why just break down the last 8 games since we've played 19?

I would trade Kaman to Orlando for Vucevic though..even add TRob. I really like that young guy's game.

I would not want to trade Kaman but have Hawes play along side him with the second unit. Stotts already tried playing Leonard in the stretch 4 with him.

A better look right now has been Freeland and Kaman. Those two are starting to look good together.

Despite the improvement this year, the Blazers are still #29 in bench minutes. Teams are starting to key on Kaman in the second unit because Freeland does not keep them honest.

Kaman is shooting 41% in his last ten games. Coincidence that Joel started getting minutes 12 games ago?

And Hawes is shooting 41% from the floor in his last 10 games.

I'm continually amazed at how much love Hawes gets from some fans.

No thanks. Hawes' game has already drifted to the 3-point line. One reason I love Kaman is that he keeps the pressure on the opposing teams to defend the paint when Rolo is on the bench.

It's the wing guys we need to improve, not the interior guys Keying on Kaman because no one else can score
