    The question is bigger than raw statistics, but it is surprising to some people how mediocre america is at most things

    The nostalgia crap at the end of his rant glorifying how "great" things were in the past is bull. The people of this country have done both great and awful things throughout our history...and that's still true today.

    yeah..I have to agree. Unlike some, I do not suffer any guilt for having lived in an era when the USA was the envy of the world. I suppose its easier to be told the it never happened than to rationalize how it could be so dramatically changed.
