I doubt we'll ever see this Batum again.

    Now that's attacking the hoop!

I mentioned this in the nba thread above. But I think and I know they won't. They will continue to let this simmer. But they need to address the problem I see with the two and three position. And I think the problem is Nic. The organization needs him to wake up and grow up and quit playing soft, like a little kid and play like a man. This team isn't going anywhere as it is.

And if the excuse is that he is in fact tired. To me there is no excuse for that. French Basketball should be put to the side. He has a responsibility to his contract. Blazers and the teams success I would think should come first. His stat is not good right now.

But it was later that he started falling behind in his alimony payments, and couldn't get a payday loan from his boss, and got hauled into court and called in contempt of court and...

When he has to give 5 million over three years? Maybe his agent and accountants and hanger on are all sucking him dry?

It's about 31% of his monthly check... if he's got a nice house he's still paying off, and 30 people sucking down his cash, it could be tough.

Bro don't get me wrong... I went through a terrible divorce and I was giving out a ton of money in Alimony and Child support (still forking $4k in child support a month), but it's hard to get behind if you stick with it.

The accountants, alimony and agent expense are all tax deductible. That just means less tax is taken from his salary.

Because it's the batum tracker thread, and batum is playing this year, so it makes sense that we would keep it going.

Don't see a thread for every other player on the team nitpicking every little detail? Maybe there should just be a team tracker thread? Last year it was Meyers Leonard but now it seems Nic is the new "Whippin Post".
Funny thing is there are almost 300 comments saying the same things over and over again? like i said...Weird.

He deserves it - he hasn't played up to his contract and has shown very little improvement.

    Oh, and this:

He put himself under the microscope.

Just look at how he handled his marriage -- Batum isn't a very bright guy.

His agent also acted like John Canzano during that fiasco.

Wow, ease up on Batum, Fez.

I'll give him more than 20 games to turn me into a hater. I wish he would stop playing in the summer though.

Another status quo first half for Batum: 0 pts 0-5 FG's in 18 min.

    Yuck.

It's normal to have a nose-diving decline in your mid-20's.

Before he PRP his shot was flat and he was getting off the floor (explosion) like an old man.

    3-11 FG's in 35 min.

He was paid roughly $130k for this game. Was he worth it?
