I see that as well! I'm trying my hardest to promote this site on other social media, seeing huge spikes in traffic, but little new posters. Allowing easier log ins will help greatly!
I'm worried that if this site attracts too many people it'll become cluttered and unreadable, and old timers will start to leave.
I don't see this happening... This new format ain't like O-live with every post pushing old posts away. And the Mods do a really great job with merging threads anyway
So long as the 2 computer skills I have are not affected..(reading and typing) ..I'm all for it. I think it's great that you keep members posted. Personally I think the forum could use a boost in membership. Now the important question would be is it hack proof from certain northern asiatic places that don't like our movies?
Any software we'd use, including the current software, is likely hackable. Banks and large corporations with teams of security experts are breached frequently enough. That said, I am very security conscious, and (knock on wood) we've not been hacked or defaced yet. It's probably that we're running under the radar. I do have a plan to radically improve our security if we move. Not going to spill it yet.
Denny, please tell me it will all kinda look the same. When I go to other forums like O-Live or Redditt, I get completely lost. This layout is perfect. The way the threads and posts are all laid out.
I can tell you without hopefully saying too much, that it's not anything like those shitty, hideous formats.

I like it. It looks super clean. The member info/post count/join date, etc. look better than on this site. Aesthetically, I like it more than this. Which is saying a lot, because I like this sites layout a lot.
i use xenforo on a forum i run and it's vastly better than VB in a lot of ways - the social login is handy too. good move from my perspective
Surely, even the North Koreans have nothing against the Blazers. Heck we even had Ha Seung-Jin - who is kind of sort of from their neck of the woods.
Did you get this bit working on yours? That's bottom of thread. Also at top of forum with moderators displayed, and on the forums home page in parens next to forum name?
There are lots of addons for this new forum software so if there is something that you would like that we don't have now please feel free to ask for it. If it doesn't exist Denny can probably write it.
Are you giving us guns? Just please dont REQUIRE facebook/google+. Some sites I really want to post on require facebook ect log in to post and I refuse to make one. 1) many jobs highly discourage or demand you do not have these pages for your own security. 2) I hate these corporations for their clickbait and data mining and refuse to support them. As long as I can log I here with same user name p/w cool.
I'm thinking over the New Year weekend. Hopefully the site will only be down for a couple hours. Potentially a day though. The test import I did took less than 24, but I don't know exactly how long because it finished while I was sleeping.
