Fans don't matter. If Aldridge deserves it, he'll get it. Honestly, right now, I think it's Curry, Dame, Lowry, or LA. I would vote for those 4 plus Wall or Marc Gasol.

If we can finish the season with the best record, I can't see how one of ours doesn't win it

Don't care much about this as long as Lillard wins finals MVP

KD is from a small market and he is a name because he plays well. Aldridge and Lillard are becoming names.

I don't know how the voting works but is it possible that in that case, Lillard and Aldridge could split the Blazers vote, taking votes away from each other, and so someone else gets the award?

This is exactly what would happen imo. Someone from the 2nd or 3rd place team would win the award imo.

Jimmy Butler just won EC player of the week. He also won player of the month previously.

He absolutely belongs in the MVP discussion, as well as MIP (MIP is a slam dunk).

Not only will he get votes for DPOY, he's currently averaging 22.2 PPG, 6.2 RPG, 3.2 APG, 1.6 SPG with a 22.8 PER - all numbers worthy of MVP consideration.

How can he be in all of those conversations if Anthony Davis is supposed to win all those awards?

One is playing on the #1 ranked team in the ESPN power rankings? :)

Yes, but the other is ranked #1 on the Kingspeed player power rankings.

Maybe I should save Eric the trouble: "Butler is garbage"

Aldridge is not even a viable candidate in the MVP conversation. He is having a worse year statistically than he did last year and with so much influence on advanced metrics he will get ripped apart for his 45% shooting. Lillard has been clutch, he has a higher PER than Aldridge and much more national recognition if any Blazer will get votes it will be him and him alone.

The race will come down to Harden, Curry, and Lebron. Anthony Davis should be in the consideration but won't be since the Pelicans will struggle to win more than 40 games. Westbrook will get in the conversation too if the Thunder bounce back and finish top 3 out west.

The question we bulls fans are asking is, "Is Butler for real?"

Watching him play you can see he is for real. He might not ever be an elite shooter but the way he is scoring by aggressively attacking the basket will keep him from regressing. At worst he is Rudy Gay with better Def, at best he is a more aggressive version of Paul George. The dude is going to make bank.

The Blazers are too balanced of a team to win an mvp. That's a good thing. Dame took one shot in the first half against New York and we were winning by 20. I like how Dame picks his spots and allows teammates to flourish. It makes our team better but hurts his chances of an mvp.

It's not even a lock we get two all stats this year. Spurs had zero allstars last year and destroyed everyone in the playoffs.

Makes you wonder what his stats would be like on a bad team or fringe playoff team

Curry Kobe will be starting all star game. CP3, Harden, Westbrook are top reserves. If no other guards make it it's possible Lillard and or LMA are left off the team. I'd still lean towards Lillard getting in but nothing is guaranteed.

Is it bad to want Lillard and LaMarcus to be snubbed? Every year LA was snubbed, he went HAM after the break. I bet Lillard would do the same.
