its not even that. its the "throw in" part. which kind of insinuates that the other parts we are giving up in the trade are more valuable than a first round pick. and first round picks are valued pretty high league wide no matter where the pick is
CJ, Wright and Crabbe are basically limited to the 3pt shots they get within the offense. But Chandler is a complete player, He can shoot, drive rebound, guard 2s, 3s and even 4s. It would give us a starting quality player off the bench.
Nuggets forward Wilson Chandler will not play on Friday against the Kings, according to the Denver Post. Chandler is dealing with a knee strain. Chandler hadn't been dealing with any injury prior to the news, so it comes as somewhat of a surprise. He's averaging 14.2 points and 5.9 rebounds per game.
Too many tattoos, he would tarnish our squeaky clean image. Actually I would embrace a trade for Chandler. I've always been a fan. Sometimes guys need a change of scenery. He would instantly upgrade our bench.
I love our roster but depending on what we'd have to trade I'd be okay with this. The chemistry is strong enough to withstand a change or two if the only outgoing guys aren't playing a ton anyways. If healthy, a bench of Kaman, Freeland, Chandler and Blake, with Wright/Leonard in spots, would look pretty good in the playoffs.
Man, I just don't get the Chandler love. I definitely don't get the Chandler love if there is a first going out. We got Lopez and Robinson for some seconds, which is why I'm not a fan of "tossing in" a first for Chandler.
Better than 26%. And that's a solid shooter. Pippen and Drexler were career 32% 3pt shooters. And he's not limited to 3pt shooting like CJ, Wright and Crabbe are.
Wilson Chandler coming off the bench? Are you kidding? A late first round pick next year, is not going to get this team through the playoffs this year. The bench, as it stands, is not likely to get them through the playoffs. Small ball with Chandler over Wright? Yes please.
I just really don't think we need any more youth right now. We're already trying to develop so many young guys. We need another vet off the bench. Maybe Chandler isn't perfect, but he's available. It doesn't seem like Phoenix wants to give up Gerald Green, and now Jeff Green is off the board. Who else is out there?
Not that I disagree but I'm beginning to wonder what the actual deadline is going to look like. Will all the major moves be long gone due to the domino and reaction effect from other teams?
