Don't get carried away. You can't invoke the name of Jordan until you've got multiple, if not six, titles.
Of course, but we are talking the type of person and swag. Lillard has that swag. He isn't afraid of anyone and teams just can't stop him.
As much hell as this fan base has been through how nice would it be to win it all with this group though? A team that plays the right way. Even it's stars play team ball. Love it.
Lillard is not the same type of person that Jordan/Kobe are. He is actually liked/loved by his teammates. He is more of a Zeke/Magic in that regard.
The only thing Lillard had done wrong lately was to say that the best PG in the league is Steph Curry. Ņo way Curry could make the plays Dame did tonight. Lillard is the best PG in the NBA.
I am talking "the type of player on the court". No fear and confidence that you are the best player on the floor. It's only his third season to boot!
That's just humility. He's just a good guy. Deep down inside, you know damn well Lillard thinks he's better. He just can't outwardly show it without looking like a douche
Boy this argument just gets more and more fun doesn't it? I am a big fan of Curry and Lillard is closing the gap in that argument rather quickly.
Ok no doubt Lillard is extremely talented but I can't help but wonder how much of this is confidence. And as that grows so does his game. The guy's belief in himself seems to take his game to a level that is so much higher that what confidence does for most players. And then that seems to exponentially grow as well. And from a fan perspective I can't recall a player that I just knew he was going to make the shot or a big play and I'm literally, LITERALLY shocked when he doesn't. And it's even different from Jordan somehow. I'm not saying he is better than Jordan in anyway but it is different somehow. But soooo much fun to watch.
Ugh. Thanks for reminding me about Felton. Looks like I'm going to have to drink myself into a stupor for another year. Seriously, nothing can overcome to horror that was the Felton year.
