He can't rebound like Rolo can't rebound. They box out and let their teammates do the catching. Defensively, he's a lot better than he's given credit for. Dude can ball out. And they'd get him for fuckin Kendrick Perkins? I'll be very unhappy if that happens (who is quite possibly, the worst player in the NBA to gets regular PT).

Thats kind of what I was thinking also. Offensively why does OKC want to do this, do Westbrick and Durant need any help on that end?

Perkins is solid defensively and fits OKC better IMO. Lopez is an offensive upgrade, defensive downgrade even if he is underrated as a defender, which I dont think is true.

The one thing that team has lacked in the last 5 years has been a scoring threat down low. Brolo is exactly that..

Are people here arguing that getting Lopez for Perkins is not a travesty?

This deal won't go down as constructed (and probably not go down period) but you understand that they would be doing it to get Lamb and save cap money (Perkins expires this year) not to say "oh boy we got Perkins as our starting center!"

It really isn't because if Lopez is moving to the thunder it's gonna be Perkins+Jackson or Perkins+lamb & Jones

More of a lateral move imo, besides Lopez is gonna slow their offense to a halt.

Come on, guys. Lamb sucks. He has less value than CJ.

All BK would get outta this are some $$ savings as they get away from Lopez's contract. Still brutal in my mind.

I'd rather have Lamb - at the very least he isn't a tweener.

Lamb isn't great but he is 22, long and athletic... Brooklyn needs that.

Jesus, if OKC gets Brook Lopez, they would be the favorites to get out of the west every damned year. And without giving up Reggie Jackson or Steven Adams? It would also probably keep Westbrook and Durant from bolting because they'll be perrenial contenders.

You and me both! I still wish we would have drafted Lamb.

Exactly. Not sure why some of the posters above are not realizing this.

i would think adams would have to be in the trade, the previous iteration had bk getting lance stephenson

in any event this would put okc at around 80+MM next year, if they dare

OKC only has this season and next to win it all. Durant is gonna bolt to DC.

Yes, we'll all be terrified for the 20 games every year where Brook looks like he's finally injury free... until he breaks his leg or foot or ankle or something.

He played 246 games in his first three seasons, and 96 in the next three. And who's going to give him the ball? WESTBROOK?!

Ummm... NO! Perkins flat out sucks at both ends and everywhere in between. Have you actually watched this guy play the last two years? He can't guard anyone and couldn't score 10 ppg in a 6th grade CYO league. Last year he was the worst starter in the entire NBA, by FAR with a PER of 6.3. And before you break out that "solid defensively" nonsense, go to 82games.com and look at his Net Production numbers from last season. His own production/48 was 6.8. His OPP production/48 was 18.2 for a Net Production of -11.4. That's monumentally bad. He can't guard anyone. He is slow, unathletic and uncoordinated. They should have amnestied him when they had the chance.

If they get Brook Lopez and he manages to stay healthy for just ONE game, he'll help them win one more game than Kendrick Perkins this year.

Lopez trade to OKC doesn't make sense. They already have Adams and he's better defensively. OKC is panicking. I'm not sold on them making the playoffs anymore this year. Denver just tied them for 10th place and the Kings are on their heels.
