Not a bad idea! I always feel relaxed after banning someone.

The Blazers should trade Batum for Lebron.

I've been saying that for years but Neil won't do it.

He traded away all the 2nds we'd use as filler.

Why aren't we running the team? We could also trade Rolo for Marc Gasol while we're at it.

Does a trade make us better now AND better later? If so, absolutely make the trade. However, the jury is still out on the youngins, so it's hard to judge what's better in the future.

    • This is not a knock on Paul Allen by any means. I remember reading an article shortly after KP left with him saying that it was somewhat difficult to make a trade with Paul as owner. Saying that he (KP) couldn't do some of the things he wanted to do.

    Yeah, it's like that.

Your reply to my quote makes zero sense.

Then again, that's status quo for you.

I would hate to see this become the excuse for a GM that is incapable of making a trade.

I'm going to relax for now but I'm pretty dumbfounded by all the moves that are taking place in the West yet this kat seems to stand still.

Sorry If I sounded distasteful there but come on Neil. If the team needs help, the team needs help. Yes, they like each other, they get along. That doesn't mean you have enough to reach your ultimate goal. Think about it.

Watching Chandler I don't think he's the guy. Very underwhelming with stats to back that up.

i think it's pretty clear Neil can make a trade. Whether the right one is even available to make is a different story. Making a trade to make a trade is not a smart idea.

Anyways, you make a trade and take back a contract that isn't expiring almost defeats the whole plan of the last two summers.

I don't get it. Neil has made trades. Remember Lopez and T. Rob were acquisitions via trade. You can't fault a GM for not wanting to trade mid season, especially when we are second in the west. Do you see GS making a trade? Are you harping on them as well?

The mid season trades are from teams that don't have the right players. Our team does, with exception of a wing that can get to the line and slash. I don't think there are players out there right now that can give us that, without giving up too much talent in return.

I'm fine with having a team that's either there or very close to being there. We could use a MLE to grab that wing I think we need and give them a full pre-season to work into our system.

The team as it is right now will not win it all. The team last year was not good enough to win it all. So what do you do if you're the GM if that is the case? You improve.

The team does not have enough to get it done. I think it has a core that is ready if the GM would just give them the right kind of help.
