There is no way this is going to be good news at all. I feel like LMA is going to be out at least 6 weeks. -___-

If LA is out 6 weeks I would be more concerned about making the playoffs

This. I don't even think the divisional race is anywhere near a lock, let alone the playoffs.

Sucks, because we built a big lead on OKC when they were injured, now they have a good chance of getting back because WE are injured. Them's the rolls. Nothing you can do about it.

Speaking of which, was it luck last year and stackpoles' crew just isn't as good as we thought, or is it "luck" this year and the injuries just 'happened' so to speak?

I know, but I guess what I'm really asking is Stackpole got a lot of credit for his new program... but, could there be any detriments to it, as well, consdiering the amount of injuries that have happened close together? Just probing the idea, that's all.

I would just say it's a run of bad luck. More stress on the other players when a key player gets hurt. That added stress creates more opportunities to injure the players not injured

Jeez, the pessimism around here is out of sight. LA had one MRI that was inconclusive. They didn't see a tear, but they couldn't confirm that one wouldn't show up on a new MRI once the swelling goes down a bit. There isn't anything in that that tips this either way as far as determining the severity of the injury and how long he may be out. Might want to hold off on writing the season off until the results are out.

I don't know how to say what I want to say without Kingspeeding the hell out of us, so I'll just shut up.

Well we are Blazer fans, after all.

And not writing the season off, but in the west it's obviously not going to be easy to make the playoffs if your star is missing for an extended amount of time. We didn't have much success against western playoff teams with him, let alone without him. We could conceivably go above .500 the rest of the way and still not make it. OKC is a lock to make a huge push now that they're healthy, so I think the wild card is Phoenix and whether they keep winning at this pace. We're currently only 5.5 games ahead of them.

You're right. Hard to not worry though, the massive swelling making the MRI inconclusive is what makes me almost know it won't be good news, and/or he wont be back anytime soon. I don't think the season will be toast, but OKC is getting hot and I could see us slip. I still think we'd make playoffs and if we're healthy and playing well, it won't matter what seed we get, we'll still have a chance to win games.

It's on his left hand. Put on a brace and get your ass out there.

I was thinking this too. Not saying I want him to go out now, but being the off hand helps to get back early.
