i always liked Sheed, i just like people who are a bit different and bring some personality and color into the world - was a big Rodman fan too - he was a trip and pretty unique, but shit me could he rebound n play defense.

i think another part of the reason i liked sheed was that i was always hoping he'd make good on his talent to the max. i mean he had all the tools but it never really clicked for any length of time - but even at his most cruise control games he always looked like a beast waiting to explode.

4.Tried to psych up his teammates by
yelling, "Let's go out and play like
    we're Chicago on NBA Jam."

    24.He avoided interviews following
games because he was in the
    training room calling his moms.

41.Turnaround jump shot to win 1996 NBA All-Rookie game.

91.His minor skirmish in 1997 NBA Playoffs with Jerome Kersey, after which
there was so much love for Rasheed in the crowd that the fans began to
cheer "Beat L.A.!" while Rasheed pumped his fist to urge them on.

94.Not afraid of reacting to a call against him, no matter how solid.

Well, I didn't care for the man and you couldn't have gotten him out of town soon enough back in the early 2000's. I ironic thing about him is many said he was SOOOOO unselfish and such a great team player. I called him back then too selfish to be selfish for the good of the team. Why? Because that's what this team needed to get over the top. And he wasn't going to have any of it.

I just found him to be really unlikeable. There was nothing excusable about the Sabas incident. Or the many times he put his team in a tough position with the agenda he had with the refs.

    I'm glad they traded him.

Oh that comment is going to draw flies! But I tend to agree, damn good ball player but he sure needed to be lead by a strong force.

The thing I love about LA. Up until last season, I wasn't really that high on him or a big fan. I thought he was a lot like Sheed. I didn't think he cared all that much about the outcome. Just cut the check. But he changed last year. And turned into something this team needed him to be. That was a leader on and off the court and a go to guy in the clutch. Something Sheed could have decide to do time and time again. And he never did.

I now love LA for the growth he was WILLING to show in the last couple of years. And I have the mans back anytime something derogatory comes about on him.

Ill always be a sheed fan. he couldnt stand cheating refs so no surprise he set a tech record on a team that is always fucked by refs. He didnt cower like a bitch to this unethical behavior, he was a man and stood up against it.

Yes sir! I agree completely. I like the man, I like the growth he shows every year. He is very good now and I don't think he is done, greatness is near.

As black militants, Sheed and Sidney Wicks fought authority. They are the most talented players this team ever had, along with Bill Walton, who fought authority more cerebrally.

All I'll say is if the man put would have put his focus and resources on what was best for the team and towards winning instead of worrying about the refs and all of the other stuff. The team probably would have one championship.

He was a big damn baby.

Sheed is a martyr in defense of the integrity of the game. He wasnt the hero we wanted, he was the hero we needed. He was the lone farmer who refused to pay the kings ransom. He was portland's William Wallace.

You will never get to the bottom of the prediction game standings with that attitude.
