Do any of you really think Lou Lamoriello would help the Rangers? The man's ego would not permit anything going to Rangers. He would prefer to help the Islanders......and not cheaply.
No there is a shot Chuck, maybe low but it is possible they could acquire both players. That's what I called for, I think that would make this team deep as hell but John Moore would be the sixth defenseman
I would put the chances at 1% strud. I am trying to be realistic. The odds of us, with no 1st round pick and cap issues, getting two guys like that with 3.75 and 4.2 mill cap hits is about 1%...and maybe that is generous. Maybe .00000001%. Be happy when we add one top 9 forward...I know I'll be. As for the D, Moore and Hunwick will most likely be the 6th dman pair, and I can live with that.
I don't know we've seen Teams pull off trades before the deadline that nobody expected.... I'd rather have Vermette/Stewarta d Sekera
I'm sure you would strud...I'm sure you would...LOL. I just don't see how we have the assets or cap space to add two forwards OR one forward and a dman like Sekera.
You don't care about helping another team in a trade. You care about helping your team. Any GM who doesn't think that way is a moron. The Devils have crap for young forwards. They could pencil in Lindberg as their 3rd or 4th center and they are a better team 2-3 years from now.
