I was thinking much the same Tote, I heard he put it up his ass on the way to the ER, in lieu of icing it...!
> I can feel some hatred there. sure.. Why not? A self centered bilionaire wants whatever he wants and the fans only get in the way.
If he manages to get out of spring training & ties the Great Willie Mays I'd really love to see complete silence from the stands While he's pumping his fist going around the bases.
I will remain with you Lion, in the minority, hopefully 59, and myself won't make a majority. Rick where are you at, in or out, or any which way but loose?
in response to when he wins games and the fans will cheer him and forget his past misdemeanors. agree. most on this board are fed up.
Actually he's 39 yrs old and is coming off a year of "rest". Yes yes I know about his hips..... If he can run without pain, and, if,perhaps his body can withstand part time DH duty, I think he can chip in with acceptable production. And " we" can hate him all we want to- but playing hard was NEVER a problem with him. You ARE familiar with the sh!tass numbers put up by Yankee DHs last year. We'll see how it plays out, and no, I'm not expecting him to make the all-star team. lol
First lets not get picky, he'll be 40 in July. And I couldn't help but notice that you conveniently jumped over the part where he hasn't hit live pitching in almost two years.
...if you really wanna split hairs, ARod is closer to 40 than he is to 39. And this "rest" that you point to can also be look upon as time away from the game. He was a strike out machine when he last played the game in 2013 and you don't improve on that by simply "resting" for 17 freaking months. ...and technically he's been "resting" since 2010. ...but yeah, wave those pinstriped pom poms.
He doesn't turn 40 yrs old until midway through the season.... Yeah, I'll waive my pom poms ...unlike you who has already answered all the "question marks" in the negative. Good for you. Did you pick KC to win the A.L. pennant last year....in February lol. Expected Billy Beane's A's last year to win 8 less games than the previous year after spending more money? I'm sure you were ahead of the curve picking Boston to finish in last place after winning the WS the previous year. Yep, you've got it all figured out. lol
