As Platypus informed me, we cannot resign him for this season since we traded him. I initially had the same thought.

DEFINITELY beg to differ. ESPECIALLY @ how cheap he could come, not much risk (also, he's NOT a chemistry cancer; he's ACTUALLY a very weird cool guy that Blazer fans would love!:breakdance:)

I don't think we really need another big. Backup pt guard or SF maybe. Freeland will be back next week.

Sure, he'd be like Outlaw. Dumb as a bag of hammers but cool enough as a human being. But come on... Blazers on Shaqtin' a Fool every week?

Freeland should be practicing any day shouldn't he? Anyone have an update on him?

@blazerbanter: The Blazers, both Stotts and Olshey, really like Alonzo Gee's ability on the defensive end to guard multiple positions.

@blazersblog: GM Neil Olshey on Alonzo Gee: "Alonzo's unique. ... he guards 3 positions, he's an NBA-caliber athlete ... elite defender."

This doesn't sound like a guy that's gonna be waving a towel.

So how does this effect the cap for next year? Affalo has a player option? Gee's contract is??
Would these two players prevent the Blazers from keeping their starting lineup together without a trade?(if wes/rolo were to get max offers?)
    Just curious.

No 2x, and I can't stress that enough. Perkins flat out sucks and has for years. JaVale McGee isn't just a regular on Shaqtin' a Fool, he is a horrible, horrible, horrible, horrible, horrible, HORRIBLE defender. He tries to block EVERY shot, including many he has no chance to block every time a guard drives the lane. In the process, he always leaves his man wide open under the basket for open lobs and put backs. He makes J.J. Hickson look like DPOY material. They dumped McGee and kept Hickson because he's a better defender. Denver regretted signing McGee to that huge extension before the ink was even dry on the contract and has been looking for a way to dump him ever since. No thanks! No fucking thanks!!!

    I put the odds at:

    No move - 60%
    PG - 25%
    SF - 10%
    Big - 5%

If the blazers need a stop on a final defensive possession I'd go with batum on the PG, Wes on the SG and Gee on the SF.

    I put the odds att

    No Move - 0%
    A FA Signing - 100%

It makes absolutely no sense at all to go into a playoff run with an empty roster spot. The team is pretty well balanced right now so I would put my vote in on BPA.
