    Alex Rodriquez = $21M (2015), $20M (2016) & $20M (2017)
    C.C. Sabathia = $23M (2015), $25M (2016) & $25M vesting option (2017)
    Mark Teixiera = $22.5M (2015), & $22.5M (2016)
    Carlos Beltran = $15M (2015) & $15M (2016)

So you have to figure that for the next 2 years (2015 & 2016) that the Yankees will not be doing very much. After 2016 over $60M comes off just between CC, Tex & Beltran. STAY TUNED!

If only this process could be sped along. I don't want to be a pessimists, but even a realist would be ancy over the next two years. Which version of each player will show up????

What is that prayer line they use in AA, God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change. Old Stealers Wheel song "Stuck In The Middle With You" Yankee Fans are caught between the 4 guppies mentioned in the OP plus the Katzenjammer Kids and Deuphis Cashman and not a damn thing we can do about it. Dumbasses traded Green & Prado whom we could cheer for. The ifs and buts for this team are beyond count. Going to be a rough year.

We may bitch, argue, disagree, or agree but one thing I'm certain of, I'm not going to cut and run this year starts # 60 as a fan and I'm going with this team until the Grim Reaper comes to get me. But I sure am whacked out as to the lack of interest shown in this franchise by the Brass.

I thought the AA steps, were: "I followed the 12 Steps Program, and they led me right to a Bar"......!

On a serious note, it may be a rough couple of years, before the approx: $81 Million comes off the Check Book Ledger.

If Tanaka's Dr's are wrong, there's another 25 Mil to add.

The core 4, (and hopefully not core 5) is a big looming reason, the Yanx have had a horrible off season, Winter Meetings, and were out bid by just about every MLB team. No Cash, unable to add more to the books, without the Luxury tax, eating their future.

There should be some good Prospect talent, we should see coming up to the Big Leagues, in 015-more like 016. By then the loss of that 80 Million allow the Yanx some buying power....! NTM- some decent Free Agents after the 015-016 seasons.

...Stealers Wheels...aka Gerry Rafferty, who died 3-4 years ago...also did one of the greatest songs ever. "Baker Street"...the song had some great sax, percussion, keyboards, bass, and some insane bending of the guitar strings during the solo near the end.

What I'd give to spend but 1 week, hell make it ONE DAY back in the 70s.....!

(as I always say, the 70s, made the 60s look like Sesame Street).......!

One more spin down memory lane.

Marty McFly where the hell did you take off with that DeLorean?????

...I suppose every generation believes they had the best music but I've been a rocker during 60s 70s 80s etc., all the way up till today's stuff and though I like some of it all (sans rap and hip hop) I honestly believe the 70s had the best quality of music...there were simply more exceptional musicians back...exceptional drummers and guitarists, and guys who played the keyboards well...not to mention lyricists...and just great iconic bands and artists in general.

If only rappers today would drop dead at the same rate as the great musicians of the 60s andc70s.

    Absolutely. Allow me to demonstrate.....

    Relax
    I'll need some information first
    Just the basic facts
Can you show me where it hurts?

Where would you like us to land this Aero-Plane Meester? Yemen, Syria, Iraq, Iran or Pakeee-stan? We may have a few open landing sights in the Eastern Ukraine, North Korea, or several Oceanic sites.....just let the stewardess know when she passes, and we'll make sure your trip was worth the ticket.....!

We could land close enough, to that - Distant Ship on the Horizon:

There is no pain you are receding
A distant ship smoke on the horizon
You are only coming through in waves
Your lips move but I can't hear what you're saying
    When I was a child
    I caught a fleeting glimpse
Out of the corner of my eye
I turned to look but it was gone
I cannot put my finger on it now
    The child is grown
    The dream is gone
    I have become comfortably numb.

Just to touch back on the Op, this next year or two may be a good time to improve our farm system.

One would think ifvthevintent is to bleed out the steep contracts, then this would be the time to explore and vet the 40 man roster. However, the signing of journeymen like Drew, Capuano, etc is difficult to rationalize.

Yeah I didn't get those either. I'm really hoping the kids get a solid chance this year.
