Meyers has been playing like a 7-1(more athletic) Kyle Korver this year.

His shooting has been insanely good. 47% from 3, 61% from 2, 92% from the foul line. Per 36, he's averaging 15/10.

I watched highlights from his game last night. His shot seemed quicker than I remember. That corner three was sweet.

He knows what he can't do, and he knows not to try to make stuff happen on the court. Right now, we don't need him to, just hit the open 3s, play D, dunk when you're close, and rebound.

Perhaps more importantly, he's comfortable in his own skin now and it's great to see. Glad to be proven wrong.

Remember when some posters kept ripping on Meyers because it was reported he was shooting three pointers AFTER practice?

My how times have changed. :)

Things have indeed changed. I like how you made the key work there "AFTER". The kid has been working hard since day one and it is paying off. Nice to see.

this is exactly why i dont jump on the band wagon and hate on our players who work hard. hard work almost always pays off.

now someone like felton who showed up fat and out of shape, ill hate on him with you all day

His defense has gotten a lot better too. Still has a lot of room to improve but he is very good at going straight up and usually when he fouls he makes sure the shot doesn't go in.

This is what matters for a 7-1 player, not shooting. You never used to see him bumping anyone under the hoop, and now you do. He used to turn his back and shut his eyes, cowering in fear of fouling, to anyone driving to the hoop. Now he goes for the block against the short drivers and chest-bumps the tall ones.

Nice comparison, watching the replay of his shots, I kept thinking how similar his form is to Kiki V

Yup, I think he is finally used to his body. He came into the NBA as basically a 7'1 guard. He is not a stretch 4... In two-three years he will be our All Star Center.

Yep. I've thought this since his rookie year. The talent has been there all along. He just needed time to grow.
