Whew, a breath of fresh air, thanks bern baby. "(90-92) which ain't bad"... (first ST outing) Let's not forget the real equalizer, the good slider/slurve which he has ALWAYS had....coupled with a 90-92 mph fastball- not too shabby but of course he needs to stay healthy AND he's going to need (naturally) more than one ST (2 IP) start to improve his command after missing last season with the injury. You would think the above would've been more accepted in its proper perspective, lol Good post bern baby. ( #16 )
Here we go, so I guess its safe to assume that this will be yet ANOTHER thread with the same fucking argument. This is getting really stupid now.
... lol...you didn't really expect it to stop, did you? ...not sure why the powers that be would allows this to continue.
Some guys just never grow up, at least that's what my Wife says- same old shit, just a different day.....I'm not going to let a little dog shit on my boots ruin my day tho'.....
First we had this: "pretty much look the same to me so far...very uninspiring". Then from another poster we saw this: "To clarify, CC touched 96 on the juiced for TV gun and sat at 91-93, hitting 94 on scout's guns. Not bad for his first time out". Then I posted: Whew, a breath of fresh air, thanks bern baby. "(90-92) which ain't bad"... (first ST outing) Let's not forget the real equalizer, the good slider/slurve which he has ALWAYS had....coupled with a 90-92 mph fastball- not too shabby Looks like a normal progression of the TOPIC, (CC). What's that old saying..... If you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen?
May I make a suggestion, with your constant hijacking of threads with your same arguments, you're walking on VERY thin ice. Don't push it. Like I said, just a suggestion. Big brother is watching.
..."Looks like the normal progression of the TOPIC"....???...uhhh, why did you omit the part in that same post of yours where you also said, "You would think the above would've been more accepted in its proper perspective, lol" ???...any special reason why you left that part out?...you can just stop the the "who, me?, I'm innocent" routine.
...yes, that is the title of the thread. It was about how so far this Spring both pretty much looked the same as they did last year. ...and sorry, but these comments of yours in this thread have nothing to do with the topic and are nothing more than fanning the flames of your same tired act and topic...which is by definition trolling; >>>"it'll look even better if Shane Greene doesn't turn into a top flight pitcher. Sorry ' bout that....but I just felt this needed to be said since Cashman and the TEAM has already been written off as a failure." >>>"I think this board has evolved into a bunch of vintage George Steinbrenners." >>>"You would think the above would've been more accepted in its proper perspective, lol"
...I did notice Tex was at least trying to go with the pitch and go the other way instead of typically and stubbornly trying to pull the outside pitch. He hit 2 balls to LF yesterday while batting LHed.
I'd have to guess that that was not on purpose as he clearly stated that he will not alter his style in anyway. I do hope though that its a sign of things to come.
...uhhh, it's about both/neither of them "going the other way"...did that really need explaining? ...it really had nothing to do with your "curiousity", now did it?...it had to do with you stirring the pot unnecessarily once again..
Sorry for the duplication but here goes. This was the part I "left out": ...but of course he needs to stay healthy AND he's going to need (naturally)more than one ST (2 IP) start to improve his command after missing last season with the injury. You would think the above would've been more accepted in its proper perspective, lol Good post bern baby. ( #16 ) ____________________________________________ I "left it out" because it was a personal opinion which I anticipated would've been attacked and I WAS trying to avoid it while I was in agreement with "bern baby's" assessment of CC's overall performance velocity wise. I began that post with what you said in the very first post of the thread and then followed up bern baby's response. The crux of that post was "bern baby" and I kinda agreeing that CC wasn't SO BAD considering it was his first start in nearly a year coming off knee surgery and he reaching 90-92 mph on his fastball was (in our opinion) was a good sign. Remember last year when he was getting banged around, his fastball was mainly in the high 80s rarely reaching 90. Honestly '59, I was both surprised and dissapointed when you didn't cut CC any slack considering the surgery and nearly a year layoff. I did NOT personally attack or disagree with your #1 post of the thread. Okay? I'll try and go lightly on any differing opinions I may have and try and stay as much "on topic" as most others. Have I NOT taken any personal shots from others? It's all good, it's BASEBALL, everything is A-Okay.
