Got to be pleased with what we've seen from Headley so far. That was a nice shot. Reminded me of Nettles. Yankees down 2-1 in the 3rd. BTW: Ellsbury shutting it down for the next week with an oblique strain. Girardi says he'll be fine by opening day.
Of all the 3rd basemen I've seen with the Yanx, I'd say Nettles was by far my all time favorite. Tho' I never got to see Red Rolfe play, tho' Rick did/has..... I was besides myself to chat with Nettles for 5 minutes, when he showed up here in town in 96, as the Coach of the Bakersfield Blaze, as their Mgr. Early to the park, with alot of time to kill, Nettles was as graceful and polite as any coach I've ever spoken with. One advantage of taking in A+ Minor Lg. Ball......! Class Act #9 is/was.....not to big headed (like the 2 times I tried to approach the pompus ass arrogant fk, Jack Clark), when he was the Bums A+ Hitting Coach.....!
RICK, what time is tonight's game on, and what channel are you picking it up on. Maybe if were lucky we will get it.......tho' I've only been lucky enough to of seen but 3 Yanx games thus far. Time Warner Bros Cable sux. They seem to think Sports Fans only follow In-Market Teams.........a crock of shit.........!
Okay Rob today's game against the Tigers was at 1:05 NY time with no tv. Saturday 1:05 (Houston) no tv Sunday 1:10 (Mets) Yes channel Monday 1:05 (Washington) MLBN Tuesday 75 (Detroit) Yes channel Wednesday 1:05 (Mets) Yes channel
I really appreciate the info Rick old buddy. I may need to lean on you this first month for a couple weeks of game times, since the TV guide & local paper, does not have any listings for MLB.TV or ESPN games, nada for baseball. Every morn I have to scan thru the TV's channel guides for a Yanx game, a cumbersome bullshit way to figure out who's playing, even when I have the TWB local Channel TV guide, the shows DO NOT MATCH THE LISTINGS IN THIS POS TV GUIDE AT ALL.......!!! boy am I pissed off.........I haven't seen anything this bad & effed up, since i was a kid in KS, and all we got via antennaes were CBS/NBC and ABC. Long before the advent of cable & satellite. Today's kids just don't know what they'd do with only the Big 3 Prime Network channels only. Plus in our era, we didn't have a fraction of the toys, entertainment systems, or things to pass time with, other than a pack of cards, a bicycle, a bolo bat n ball, a board game, 2 or 3, but give us a baseball, basketball, football, even soccer ball, and we were the happiest kids on the block.........
for TWB looks like a bunch of dyslexic blind children put a collage together with Elmers glue and pics out of a magazine. Our Thanks Rick, I do appreciate your help, and appreciate your invite.......! I'm sending you a short PM...!
