Note to the home crowd: Tanka spanked today by the God Damn Twinkies, 4+ innings, 7 hits, three runs, while the our gang comedy crew failed to muster enough stuff to keep it a game. Going to be a long, long , way to Tipperary Town for the faithful this season. No joy, no fun, nor a Season in the sun.

    Okay, it's official, it's a bad trade!
And German couldn't be thought of, or described as (merely) a "good young arm" at the time of the trade.

Okay. Very well, my bad - BAD TRADE

Gee, you guys really are on the ball.

    LOL

So I guess at the time CASHMAN made the trade which was before German's CURRENT arm trouble and looking at his age and minor league stats at that point (prior to his very recent arm trouble), he couldn't/shouldn't be called a "good young arm"?
Is that what this is about? lol

Nobody said he was going to be the second coming (rolling my eyes) AND, going forward it has yet to be determined who will be the better or worse pitcher- Eovaldi or Greene.

And before you get excited over trading Greene, he was "used" to acquire Gregorius and it's also too early to determine if THAT trade was a good or bad one.

    That's all.

Let me try it this way, lol.

At the time Cashman made the trade which was before German's CURRENT arm trouble and looking at his age and minor league stats at THAT point- and before his very recent arm trouble, he couldn't/shouldn't be called a "good young arm"?

The KID needs arm surgery months after the Yanks acquired him and Cashman, and others shouldn't have considered him a "good young arm" included in a trade,
    when the trade was made?

I just want a reality check?
    Who's tripping out here?

And I NEVER said he was going to be the second coming.

I'm hoping like heck Eovaldi works out well, just to quiet down some of these raving, second guessers with a prejudiced anti- Cashman agenda.

Maybe it's time to also keep an eye on Teflon Joe Girardi?
Maybe just a teeny weeny more runners in motion to avoid DPs for starters?
    Nah.....

    GO YANKS!

Here's a tip going forward, to avoid repeating yourself over & over & over with the same old tired shit posts, read what you've typed BEFORE you hit the "POST REPLY" button.

...forget what I said about taking "small steps"... learn to crawl first.

...many people questioned the trade when it first happened...and I was one of them.

I know but if has nothing to do with my post (#10) of this thread regarding the possible reasoning behind the Eovaldi trade.

Lol, don't forget his star prediction:
Arod won't make it out of spring training....he's "toast"! Lol

Last time I checked, the almighty one was calling (begging?) for Arod to ALSO help out in the field!
    You can't make it up.

All in fun. Arod is kinda old and fragile.

...uhhh, well, apparently I was wrong about him making it out of spring training but I can still hope...he's a lying, cheating, self-serving POS that I refuse to cheer for, and that hasn't changed.
...but exactly when was I "begging for ARod to help out in the field"?...I'll wait.

Lets be serious, A-Roid has only played in 17 of the Yankees 30 ST games with only 39 ABs. And I'm guessing most of those ABs have come against pitchers that will be starting the season in the minor leagues. The regular season after 30 games A-Roid would have played in approx 25-28 games with 70-90 ABs against better pitching. So I'll wait to pass my opinion on the asshole until he has 100 ABs into the regular season.
