Is it possible that Earth is receiving signals from outer space which could be that of some extra terrestrial life source? A new research paper has not ruled out this possibility. The paper dated 30 March 2015 is titled Discrete Steps in Dispersion Measures Of Fast Radio Bursts. It explores the origin behind recent radio signals from space and considers "an artificial source (human or non-human)," as a possible source. http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/earth-rece...alien-life-source-possibility-believe-1494686
oh man how cool! Can you imagine the religious and social implications of discovering another intelligent species?
Or could those messages be us from 2,000 years in the future. That interstellar movie got me thinking!!!!
That could happen as well. Radio waves could travel very slowly, and the signal could bounce back right? Meaning, it could have been sent 50-60 years ago and we are now getting the bounce back?
um, this seems to be much about nothing. Natural sources of radio wave exist through out the universe. When you find some with some identifiable code then let us know. https://www.boundless.com/physics/t...omagnetic-spectrum-165/radio-waves-592-11171/
If you read even just the abstract to the scholarly paper (link is in the article), it says it's a very regular beep at staggered yet constant intervals, in a way that nature never causes.
It can't cause the measurements they're seeing. There are 2 solutions. 1) The measurements are wrong. 2) There is some weird new theory to explain it that will go against everything. The beeps are the way scientists would devise them, if they were making it obvious to aliens that they are sending a message, and that it isn't just nature causing it. SETI does this.
