I was thinking the same thing Vic, with the lack of offense tonight Sabathia couldn't have picked a better time to put up a good game.
And don't you forget it Ron because that's really all that matters. I mean we can be 3-4 games under 500 but as long as our run differential is higher then our opponents we should make the playoffs.
...^^^not to mention that this time last year although their run differential was - 5 their record was 7-6...wait a minute, how can that possibly be?
Occupied doing other things but did make look ins at 8 and 9 finding the Yanks up. Came in at a bit past ten found out they'd lost. Looks like Big Man had his "inning" but lets face it if the offense can't get enough done to over come a 2-1 score this team is in big trouble. Per the recap Gregorius flubbed a play and the Yankees once again let Chambermaid piss in their faces. Yankees had been 3-0 versus Simon.
...lol...you know, I swear that when I saw you had made a post right after mine, "Bobtuse" came to mind..."great minds...".
I can understand being optimistic and wanting your team to win. But defending Cashman and rooting for ARoid....sorry, but no self-respecting fan of this storied franchise can look the other way and not acknowledge the damage these two have done to the brand. ARoid is gone, 3 years max, but I fear the impact of Cashman's ineptitude will eclipse that.
...exactly, but be careful some may construe being realistic as "throwing in the towel". ...the Yanx lost, period. CC pitched respectably but he was also bailed out several times by the defense and was by no means dominant. Hell, the opposing pitcher actually pitched better than CC. ...again, the Yanx lost, but if someone still chooses to blindly focus on something other than the loss, there's not much you can do but laugh.
Lets stop the name calling. Also, to be fair the overall personal stuff needs to stop as well. Argue, debate and criticize opinions but please no more personal attacks or singling out.
If CC pitches like that moving forward he'll get results - let's just hope we continue to see that same CC. That one "bad inning" wasn't even a bad inning, a laser that Didi will eventually make routine (?) and a seeing eye single. I don't get Drew bunting with Headley on first and Didi on deck. Could somebody get rid of Joe's book. Tough loss to swallow.
