We got killed on the scoreboard so no one talked about it but we outrebounded the Grizzlies in Game 1 and LMA/RoLo/Kaman/Leonard outplayed the Grizzlies' bigs. We lost because Dame/CJ/Blake shot 6 of 33. That and Udrih/Conley killed us. If Dame and CJ and, hopefully, Afflalo make their shots, we will win comfortably in Game 2. Our size in the front court gives them trouble they're not used to facing.
Oh hell no, it wasn't lost that some of the bigs were going 5 for 10 while the guards shot 6 for 34. 34!!! What was worse was watching them watch the guards drive into that wall. Lamarcus had a tough day but damn, he had to contend with a pack of Grizzles. Together Lamarcus and Leonard can screw those guys, pull them out of that wall defense, IF they plan it and the guards participate rather than play into their hand. Rolo just does fit in playing this team.
What was lost was there was no article on o-live that the biggest Blazer fan on the planet was in Memphis to watch that game.
sources around the forum have been saying for weeks that the Spurs might get a hearing with Kingspeed— and that was before the Oregonianreported that at least one forum member thinks there is only a 50-50 chance that Kingspeed stays with Portland. (And no, I wouldn’t take that as gospel, either. Kingspeed said before the season that he wants to be the greatest Blazer fan ever.) BNM
This is a grey area....Yes the Blazers outrebounded the Grizz. The numbers are 56-48 total. Blazers got 8 more. Lets look closer shall we? Blazers also got 16-8 advantage on the offensive glass. This is probably due to them missing way too many shots. The advantage is again 8. I watched the game a couple times and in some of those. The Blazer shooter was in fact so WIDE open that the Griz were heading the other way expecting the shot to fall. Other rebounds were off of tips right at the rim that simply didn't fall. I would rather the Blazers make those shots and simply match what the Griz do on the boards. 8 offensive boards turned into made shots wins this game.
