Thank God He walked clean to L.A. Last thing the Yanx needed is/was McCarthy or- another player on the DL.........!!!

Los Angeles Dodgers Brandon McCarthy suffered an elbow injury against the San Diego Padres on Saturday night. He has a UCL tear and will miss the rest of the season.

McCarthy Out for Season With UCL Tear
    Monday, April 27
According to manager Don Mattingly, McCarthy "is out for the year with a UCL tear," per the Dodgers on Twitter.

McCarthy admitted that Tommy John surgery is "likely," per Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times.

Better the Bums lose 12M Then the Yankees losing the 6-7M they offered.

McCarthy wasn't having that good a season out here, 23.0 IP, 24 Hits, 9 HR's, a smoking hot 5.87 ERA.

Amen, I had mixed feelings when the Yanx acquired McCarthy, (he never showed any glimpse of being a capable body SP), while, the D'Backs SP's have sucked horribly the last 2 years, of course Corbin has NOT pitched since 2013, Stick a Fork in the entire Lot of D'Back Pitchers.........!!!

Never happened. But can you imagine Kershaw & Bumgarner of the same team?

I think the Yankees were in the neighborhood of 2 years between 12-15M. What the Dodgers gave him was just ridiculous.

Feel bad for the guy, he pitched his ass off for us. Can't credit Cashman for an inaction though, its not like he didn't make an offer.

Old news, I mentioned it in-
    Yankees vs. Mets 4/25/15 4:05PM

    (Post 51)

Lmao..... He wanted four years from Cashman.....Cashman said bye bye...and now the LA LA Land Dodgers will be lucky if they get two mediocre years from him.

    Score ONE for Cashman!
Bottom line➡ Cashman held his ground and knew enough not to give him more than two years and now the overrated Dodgers have to pay this guy for 4 years.

    Lmao!

I'm sure some were..........there's millions of Fans here, in the media(s) all who discuss such things. Praise tho' not on yer life......!

He did a helluva job for the Yanx, and should of been kept on a short leash as a newbie Free Agent, never given a "too big for his own good; hefty contract".

Now Giants Fans may of applauded if they picked up Brandon, could you be confusing the two locale fans types......?:cool2:

There are far more examples of where he didn't.... CC getting resigned is tops on that list

Also on that list are Beltran, Drew, Tex for the length of the contract, and many many many other poor or bad decisions....

No, you're not imagining it. It's the anti-Cashman movement. Nobody will admit to it.

For the stupid kind of money the Dodgers signed him for the only thing I remember seeing here was relief that for once Cashman wasn't dumb enough to give him those years & monies.

Anti-Cashman movement? How about the "make Cashman accountable movement" or the "Can't pin this one on KLong"

Speaking of opportunism..... Any thoughts on Granderson not hitting his first HR of the year until April 26 at Yankee Stadium?

Did you give credit to Kevin Long? (chuckle)

By the way......the Yankees must be on the phone daily with Kevin Long....his presence is sorely missed.
